John Martin
Features Editor
John is a happy-go-lucky malcontent critic at large: his friends aptly describe him as a curmudgeon. His interests include but are not limited to: religion, history, technology, and living in challenging places. John has been spotted on occasion having a good time over a pint of beer or a bourbon on the rocks and can be bribed into fixing your computer with either of the above. He has been known, on occasion, to wax evangelical about Linux and free/open-source software.
When not writing bitter commentary about the world around him, John spends his time studying Islamic History and Theology at the American University in Cairo where he is a Masters degree candidate. A graduate of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI, USA, his background is in classics and comparative religion.
